This way you determine the correct air tube length for your spindle:

To determine the correct air tube length for a specific machine application, measure the spindle length from the mounting surface to the rear face. Add the thickness of an adapter plate, and the additional length dimension from the following table to allow proper clearance:

Air tube Model 30

This air tube has 2 passages, a 2-way rotary distributor and features an oilite bearing which is maintenance free. The maximum speed is 6,000 rpm. Automatic lubrication of chucks or coolant through the spindle is not possible with this air tube type.

  • High precision air chucks APC, size 75 mm (3-50-3)
  • Spindles with bores < 16,2 mm

This air tube has 3 passages, a 2-way rotary air distributor and features an oilite bearing which is maintenance free. The maximum speed is 6,000 rpm. Automatic lubrication of chucks or coolant through the spindle is
possible through the third passage of the air tube assembly with a rotary distributor RU-10.

  • High precision air chucks APC, size 75 (3-50C-3)
  • High precision air chucks APC, size 100 (4-40-3/4-120-3/4-360-3)
  • High precision air chucks APC, size 150 (6-40-3/6-120-3/6-360-3)

This air tube has 3 passages, a 2-way rotary air distributor and features an oilite bearing which is maintenance free. The maximum speed is 4,000 rpm. Automatic lubrication of chucks or coolant through the spindle is
possible through the third passage of the air tube assembly with a rotary distributor RU-20.

Air tube Model NR50 / NR50-AL

MicroCentric's patented NR50 air tube is used with HSC-L-HS high speed chucks. This air tube couples to the rotary air journal in the centre of the HSC-L-HS chucks. It features 3 passages, which makes coolant through the spindle possible.

If you need lubrication through the spindle, then we can supply the air tube Model NR50-AL which is designed for optional automatic lubrication of HSC-L-HS chucks.
